Today we visited Portsmouth and explored the Historic Dockyards. We learned a lot about Britain’s maritime history and how the country became a leading naval power.
The absolute highlight was the Mary Rose, King Henry VIII’s famous warship. It’s incredible to think that it was recovered from the seabed after 450 years and so carefully restored – a truly fascinating piece of history!
To round off the day, we enjoyed a harbour cruise and admired the iconic Spinnaker Tower from the water. A wonderful day full of history, great stories, and beautiful views.
